Guest: Dr. Heinrich Pas; Topics: We discussed the new book by our guest, "The One: How An Ancient Idea Holds The Future Of Physics." In addition, we talked about quantum mechanics, consciousness, perspective, the whole vs. individual components, monism, quantum and monism history and more.

We welcomed Dr. Heinrich Pas to the show to discuss his new book, "The One: How An Ancient Idea Holds The Future Of Physics." I personally found Dr. Pas to be a great guest, very informative, an excellent teacher and in possession of a sense of humor and a strong foundation in reality. This will for sure be one of my favorite Space Show programs. But for the summary, this was a hard program for me to summary because I am not in any way a physicist of any type and Dr. Pas was on the receiving side of several technical calls and emails. To summarize the discussion, even after having read his book, I relied on some of the summaries and commentaries of the book on line, plus material the publisher sent me for use when doing the show along with those notes I could work with for this summary. I do strongly urge you to get his book and to carefully read it.
Once again, I direct you to the tags for this show repeated below for your convenience:
Tags: Dr. Heinrich Pas, The One: How An Ancient Idea Holds The Future Of Physics, quantum mechanics, the Universe, entanglement, coherence, quantum examples and experiments, decoherence, the nature of the universe, particle physics, observing the universe as one unified whole, superstition, spirituality, monism, intellectual stagnation, the decline of monism, fundamental physics, monism applied to quantum mechanics, oneness is the foundation of physics, grand theory of matter, space and time, perspective, monism and panpsychism, the Orch OR model of consciousness, string theory, General Relativity, the Standard Model of Particle Physics, applying the concept to our daily lives, small size particles, ET visitors, the laws of physics for the universe, students and monism, students with quantum mechanics, time travel.
I very much appreciated the discussions, questions and commentary about quantum mechanics and consciousness. These are not so easy topics to digest so if you want to go deeper than the surface which I did and which I hope our discussion did. I also appreciated the line of questioning on how to apply and use the information to add value to our lives. I think this was challenging and maybe too much to ask given the way the discussion with out guest unfolded. Listen to all of what Dr Pas said in response to this line of questions and commentary, the post on the blog what you think about all of it. We really do want to know what you are thinking.
Another line of questioning that interested me was on the history side of things. I was interested in how early humans, people thousands of years ago, figures this much of the quantum world, the unity concept with monism, and then how we got separated from it over time. Our guest did respond to several of these historical type questions but I wanted more. How about you? Tell us on the blog. If any listeners have additional guest suggestions on these topics, please share them with me. I am hungry for more and I suspect the same for lots and lots of listeners.
The ET and time travel questions were put forth as the program was drawing to a close. For the record, I am still looking for both to exist in reality. They are on my bucket list but I got no closer to anything with today's brief discussion on the two topics. Regarding time travel, at least our guest said that it did not appear as if the laws of physics forbid going back in time but as to how to do it, well, please consult your Magic 8 Ball!
Please post your comments/questions for Dr. Pas on our blog for this show. You can reach our guest through me or his faculty age at his German university.
