John Batchelor and I welcomed back Anatoly Zak to discuss the news that Roscosmos was recruiting troops from their employee base for the Uran Battalion to be troops for the Ukrainian war. Anatoly let us know how delays with Angara launches and development and probable layoffs enter into the troop recruitment because of prevents being fired or laid off from the company due to problems within the key launching systems. Anatoly went over a brief history of such private armies but was skeptical that the Roscosmos battalion would actually flight. Don't miss how he connected the creation of the Uran battalion to the launch delays with the Angara system.
