There Are Still A Few Hours Remaining to Help The Space Show For 2023
Please Donate So We Have A Good Broadcasting Year in 2024
December, 30, 2024
Dear Listeners, Guests, Blog Commentators, and Space Show Supporters:
There are only a few hours remaining in 2023 to support and donate to The Space Show so that we will have a strong broadcasting year in 2024. We have not yet reached our goal but we are close and we can do so with your help. I know how tired you are of my fundraising messages and my on air appeals but without them and their success, The Space Show would cease broadcasting as we are a 100% listener supported space radio program. We are also a 501C3 nonprofit so if you are a federal tax payer, you get a tax deduction for your Space Show gift. If you want that deduction for 2023, you must act before the end of the year. Donating instructions can be found on the PayPal button in the upper right of our home page, www.thespaceshow.com.
I'm fully aware that some of our listeners are not in a position to financially support The Space Show/One Giant Leap Foundation. There are many reasons for this including being on fixed income, challenges resulting from our current economic problems, medical, school and a host of other issues most of us deal with and have dealt with over the years, myself included. For those that are not in position to donate to The Space Show, know that we plan on continuing our existing format so you can listen to live shows and participate if you want, listen to archives without charge and post your comments on the blog for each show. For those of you that can donate, I ask you to do so now because through your financial support, The Space Show does all of the above plus we give you and everyone free of charge the use of our platform for endless blog comments, opportunities to talk with our guests, real time emailing with our guests, your own IP promotional platform and more. I personally believe The Space Show offers for free quite a bit for everyone, far more than other space podcasts. While I understand not everyone can give back, for those of you that can, what is stopping you from giving back to The Space Show by helping us with your financial support? In addition, when you donate and support The Space Show, you are also giving to others that love and appreciate space and share your interest and value in the topics we discuss but are not in a position to donate. By means of your supporting us, you are directly helping others value space and in some instances inspiring listeners to do great things in their lives, education, and careers which may very well include space and associated disciplines. Not only are you giving to The Space Show but you are giving to many others that may not be as fortunate as you though they share your love and value for space.
We have one more Space Show program for 2023. Tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, will be our final show for the year at the usual Sunday time, 12 PM PST. Most of the time during the year I don't regularly share my thoughts, ideas and views but I will do so tomorrow on some of what took place over the year. I will also report on my personal status as multiple shows were cancelled during the year for my health, travel and other reasons. And one more time for 2023, I will make an appeal to those listening and those that hear the show on archives Sunday after the live broadcast to donate and support the program which they can still do for 2023 via PayPal or Zell (remember Zelle uses david@onegiantleapfoundation.org). In addition, this final show of the year will serve as another Open Lines program if you have something you want to talk about. Just give us a call and share your thoughts with us.
Once again, a very Happy New Year and my personal best wishes to each and everyone of you for a prosperous, healthy, successful 2024. I hope that our nation finds the path to expressing far more kindness, love, tolerance, peace, and common sense toward each other and our rich traditional American values than what was the case this year and in earlier year. In fact, this is my New Years wish.
Please listen to our final year ending program tomorrow. If it works as a good program, it might just become a new annual program at the end of each year as a
Space Show tradition.
Thank you.
Dr. David Livingston (Dr. Space)
