John Batchelor and I welcomed back Dr. Jeff Foust to discuss the conflict and disagreement on signal strength regarding LEO satellites with concerns by the GEO satellite companies of frequency interference. LEO players want stronger signal strength and claim new tech will keep the signals from interfering with the GEO satellites. GEO players are very concerned about this but as you will hear, market share capture is a big part of the dispute. The regulatory organization conference holder agreed to study the problem and revisit the issue and rules at their next event. Jeff took us through the issues, explained them during this Hotel Mars program and in my opinion did a great job of getting to the bottom of the arguments and clarifying the situation for us.
